This DOC WEbsite showcases walks that are accessible to people of all abilities in scenic and interesting places all over New Zealand. Accssibility ratings indicate the type of track. This website lists walks suitable for wheelchair users with assistance, walks suitable for unassisted wheelchair users and those suitable for mountain buggies and walkers. The file is able to be downloaded with North and South Island walks indicated.

Vivace Restaurant

Vivace is designed to cater for all dining experiences. You may require a romantic dinner for two, a business lunch or drinks and tapas in the bar or courtyard with friends. Recently added to Vivace is a covered balcony area that allows you to dine outside late into the evening.

There is an accessible car park space located on High Street, near the restaurant. It is a parallel car park, with a 2 metre width.
Vivace restaurant is located upstairs on level one. There are 29 stairs to reach it, with no lift access. There is an alternative accessible entrance, located at the rear of the restaurant. Please see full report below for access details.
Once inside the restaurant, it is accessible throughout, with wooden flooring.

An accessible unisex toilet is provided.
The restaurant has a moderate noise level.
Lighting is dim for “mood lighting”.

Safari Lounge

Safari lounge is the home of hip hop and RnB in Ponsonby, Auckland. They have pool tables, pinball machines, space invaders, and big screen TVs.

There are steps to get to the main entrance door, but there is an alternative accessible route.
The bar is accessible inside, however the outdoor seating is only accessible via stairs.

One female accessible toilet is provided. There is another accessible toilet that males can use, but is usually locked as it is used as a staff toilet. The key can be accessed from the staff.

Hollywood Bakery Albany

Located in Westfield Albany the Hollywood Bakery has a good selection of food and drinks and has accessible parking right outside the door.

Crystal Mountain has eben specifically built for easy access for visitors of all ages, regardless of physical ability and will delight old and young alike with the many things to see and do. Discounted entry allowed for a person with a disability and free admission for one caregiver.
